Views Voice Values

A local conversation grounded in something deeper.

StanWire offers news commentary on Modesto and Stanislaus County through a values lens—grounding our views in facts, giving voice to community concerns, and holding public decisions to consistent principles.

Views

We explain our judgments and the evidence behind them. Commentary is identified as commentary, with a clear distinction between a factual claim and an editorial conclusion.

Voice

Local decisions affect real families and neighborhoods. We ask who is affected, whose questions need answers, and how residents can participate.

Values

Truthfulness, human dignity, family responsibility, sound stewardship, and accountable leadership guide our commentary. We aim to apply those standards consistently to public decisions and those who make them.

Editorial responsibility

StanWire is a project of Valuesman Media, edited and published by Dr. Jake Kliatchko. We identify uncertainty, link to supporting sources when making factual claims, and correct material errors. Commentary reflects the editorial judgment of the editor and publisher.
